It’s simple. Organic food is healthier for you. It’s also healthier for our soil, water and air. Organic food is slightly more expensive but the cost is coming down. The artificially inexpensive cost of non-organic food will eventually catch up to us as its effects on our water and soil become dire.

4. Family farms need our support. The number of family-owned farms is dwindling. Native Roots Market provides a means of selling farm fresh produce everyday and the farmers get a higher percentage than they would from a big retail chain.
5. It just makes sense. The typical American meal consists of an assortment of foods that traveled an average of 1500 miles to get from farm to plate. Why should we be eating crops and meat that come from half way around the world when we can get many of these items right here at home?
