Giving Back to Our Community

• Scholarships for employees. At the beginning of each semester, our employees are offered a scholarship equal to 10% of their earnings from the previous semester to help with educational expenses.
• Instead of using traditional advertising, we sponsor local events.
• BYOB. Each time you bring your own bag to Native Roots Market, we give you a token that represents the amount we spend on a paper bag and you donate that token to a designated charity on your way out.
• We aim to purchase fair-trade, organic, humanely and locally produced goods above all others.
• We recycle everything and compete with ourselves to lower the amount of landfill trash we generate.
• We keep our produce behind glass which keeps cold air in and increases efficiency.
• Instead of throwing nearly expired food away, we donate it to Food and Shelter for Friends
