The Greatest Gift

On Black Friday of 2010, we began a new program in our store called the Greatest Gift. During the holiday shopping season (the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve) we will donate a portion of our sales to Heifer International.  Heifer International is a non-profit organization that provides livestock and training to families to help end the cycle of hunger and poverty.

For every $50 dollar purchase we will give $1, for $100 we will give $2 and so on. We also collected additional donations from our customers.

Here's what we provided for farm families around the world:

  • 1 Llama $150
  • Flock of Ducks $20
  • Tree Seedings $60
  • Bee Hive $30
  • Flock of Chicks $20
  • Flock of Hope (chicks, ducks, & geese) $60
  • 1 Goat $120
  • 1 Pig $120
  • Trio of Rabbits $60
  • Flock of Geese $20
  • Basket of Hope (chickens & rabbits) $50
  • Earth Basket (bees & trees) $60
  • Gardeners' Basket (trees, bees, rabbits, chickens) $170

2010 Total Donation: $940
